Two arrested and several firearms collected during police operation

Two residents are facing dozens of charges as a result of a police operation on Wednesday.
The operation stemmed from a lengthy investigation by the Regina Police Service Street Gang Unit into illegal firearm possession and drug trafficking in the city.
For the operation, a search warrant was issued for a residence in the 4700 block of Pasqua Street.
The Regina Police Services Street Gang Unit, the RPS Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT), the Crisis Negotiator Team, and RPS patrol all worked the operation.
Six firearms, a large quantity of ammunition, and small quantities of controlled substances were found during the search and two people were arrested.
31-year-old Jesse Derrick Fink of Regina is facing 25 charges:
  • 6 X Unsafe storage of a firearm.
  • 6 X Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized.
  • 4 X Possession of a prohibited firearm with readily accessible ammunition.
  • 6 X Possession of a firearm while prohibited.
  • 3 X Possession of ammunition while prohibited.
30-year-old Aleksander Frederix Wosik of Regina is facing 16 charges:
  • 6 X Unsafe storage of a firearm.
  • 6 X Unauthorized possession of a firearm.
  • 4 X Possession of a prohibited firearm with readily accessible ammunition.
They’re expected to make their first appearances in Provincial Court on January 5 at 2 p.m.
