SaskEnergy will conduct controlled natural gas flaring at the TransGas Block Valve Site near Grand Coulee on July 29th, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Residents and drivers may notice a 40-foot flame from the flare stack. This flaring, part of maintenance on the gas line system, ensures the safe and efficient delivery of natural gas.
The process, standard in the industry, significantly reduces the carbon footprint of the gas being burned.
Public safety is a priority, and local authorities have been informed. Residential gas service will remain unaffected.
