On Friday the Saskatchewan Roughriders made an addition to their secondary with the signing of defensive back Austin Joyner.

The 25-year old spent the 2021 season with the BC Lions starting five games and racking up 18 tackles.

Joyner spent part of the 2020 season with the Alphas of the developmental Spring League in San Antonio.

Collegiately, he played four seasons with the University of Washington (2015-18).
