Two separate collisions on separate days ended the lives of two people in Saskatchewan.
On Sunday at 8:55 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Whitfield Road in the RM of Buckland. An adult female passenger, a 32-year-old from Pelican Narrows, was declared deceased at the scene. Her family has been notified.
The female driver and a male passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Prince Albert RCMP, with help from a collision reconstructionist, continues to investigate.
Then, around 7:40 a.m. on Monday, Indian Head RCMP rushed to a collision on Highway #1 near Wolseley. A semi-truck struck a parked semi on the shoulder. The parked vehicle was unoccupied.
The passenger in the moving semi, a 35-year-old Calgary man, was declared dead at the scene. The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The highway was briefly closed but is now open. Indian Head RCMP, with collision reconstructionists, are investigating.
