Health care and rural crime among key topics at SARM convention this week

Concerns around rising rural crime and health care will be among the key issues discussed at the SARM annual meeting, which opens Tuesday in Saskatoon.

President Ray Orb says the provincial government has taken steps to resolve rural crime issues but it remains a key concern.

He adds rural health care will also be an important issue at the convention.

Orb adds drought in western parts of Saskatchewan and rural veterinary shortages are also issues of concern.

Close to two thousand delegates will attend the annual sarm convention, Tuesday through Thursday in Saskatoon.
