The Riders have signed a return specialist with an impressive college resume.

Kermit Whitfield comes north of the border after spending time in the XFL and three years on the Cincinnati Bengals practice roster.

Whitfield spent four years at Florida State where he returned three kickoffs for touchdowns.  During his freshman season with the Seminoles, Whitfield led the entire NCAA with an average of 36.4 yards per kickoff return.
