Riders win again by being fully healthy

Not only did the Riders win in Vancouver on Saturday. They won on the practice field Monday by having all 24 starters from offense and defense healthy and ready for this week. The coach is a little more touch-and-go.

“I got a little tickle in my throat,” joked Head Coach Craig Dickenson. “I’m a little down, but I’ll be all right.”

Right Tackle Thad Coleman limped off the field early, returned to finish the game. And he was back at practice nearly 100 per cent.

“I played through it, that’s part of football, man. You gotta get up when your team needs you and get back out there. I’m a little sore but I’m going to be all right.”

Kicker Brett Lauther was not seen at practice Monday. He continues to recover from his nagging groin injury.

“We’re probably going to sit on Brett for another week,” says Dickenson. “He’s close but we’re going to probably give him another week.”

Receiver Justin McInnis appeared to be in full health. He strained a hamstring last Thursday that caused him to miss the BC game.

The Riders have a closed practice Tuesday, their final full practice before Thursday’s game versus Hamilton.
