Trudeau, Freeland to discuss rail blockades with premiers

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland have agreed to a teleconference call with Canada’s premiers regarding the rail blockades. The call is scheduled for this evening.

This comes after Premier Scott Moe and other provincial and territorial leaders gathered for a phone meeting on Wednesday.

The meeting followed with a request for a teleconference meeting with the prime minister to discuss anti-pipeline blockades in different parts of the country.

In a statement from Premier Moe’s office, he says he looks forward to joining Canada’s First Ministers to discuss a plan and timelines to resolve the issue.
