After years of speculation, we will likely find out who will select Regina Pats Connor Bedard with the first overall selection of the 2023 NHL Draft on Monday, May 8.

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman announced  the date for the NHL Draft Lottery.

This season Bedard has scored 61 goals and added 64 assists for 125 points in 51 games with the Pats. During the holiday season, he helped Canada win a gold medal at the World Juniors in Halifax.

The Columbus Blue Jackets, San Jose Sharks, Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks are currently occupying the bottom four positions in the league’s overall standings.

The NHL regular season is set to close on Friday, April 14.
