University of Saskatchewan Huskies Connor Hobbs was recognized as the U Sports Defenceman of the Year.

In his second campaign with the Huskies, Hobbs had eight goals and 27 assists with the Huskies in 32 games and led the nation in scoring for defenceman.

Hobbs spent time with the Pats from 2014-17. In his final season in Regina, he had 31 goals and 54 assists in 67 games.
