Pats drop critical 6-1 game in PA as Bedard scores 45th

The Regina Pats are running out of chances to move back into playoff position.

They lost 6-1 last night in Prince Albert to a Raiders team that is trying to chase down the final playoff spot, along with the Pats. After a 1-1 first period that saw Connor Bedard score a franchise-record 45th goal as a 16-year-old, the Pats surrendered goals to Reece Vitelli and Nolan Allen in a seven second span in the second period and the Pats couldn’t recover.

Drew Sim made 22 saves in the Pats net.

The Pats next action is Tuesday in Brandon against the Wheat Kings.
