Pat Canadians advance to SMAAAHL Finals after 2-1 win over Contacts

 

The Regina Pat Canadians defeated the Saskatoon Contacts 2-1 on Sunday to win the best-of-five series three games to one.

Saskatoon opened the scoring to grab 1-0 lead after the first 20 minutes.

It was another comeback win for the Pat Canadians, after a scoreless second period, they answered twice in the final frame to pick up the win. Koen Senft and Rhett Platt both scored powerplay goals for Regina.

John MacPherson picked up the win as he made 19 saves.

With the win, the Pat Canadians now move on to the SMAAAHL finals where they will meet the Saskatoon Blazers.
