If what happened Thursday night is any indication, you might see a Saskatchewan Roughriders game happening at the same time as the Queen City Exhibition again next year.
The two parties took a chance on having a game at Mosaic Stadium at the same time as the fair, but all indications are it was a huge success as the Regina Exhibition Association Limited is reporting a record crowd for the fair when it comes to single-day attendance with the old record being broken by 14 percent.
Those going to the football game didn’t have to worry about gate admission and with a 7:30 start, many took advantage of that by going early and checking out the sights, sounds and smells of the fair with some staying after the game as well.
