Police responded to a firearms incident yesterday, at a retail business in the 4100 block of 5th Avenue in Regina. 

A male suspect reportedly entered the store with a firearm and threatened to steal items. Upon arrival, police found the suspect trapped between two double doors near the entrance. 

Officers seized a firearm and a baton from the suspect and placed him under arrest. 

The suspect, a 25-year-old man, faces multiple charges and made his first court appearance on this (Thursday) morning.
