Regina and District Chamber of Commerce announce new CEO

The Regina & District Chamber of Commerce have announced Mike Tate as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

According to a news release from the Chamber, Tate brings energy and vision to the Chamber. He plans to build on the organization’s legacy while addressing the evolving needs of Regina’s dynamic business environment.

Tate previously served as Vice-President of Business Development at GreenWave Innovations Inc., where he earned a reputation for creativity and collaboration. He also dedicates significant time to community initiatives and serves on the Regina Airport Authority Board. In addition to his business achievements, Tate is a frequent keynote speaker and panelist.

“I’m deeply honoured to lead the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce,” said Tate in the release. “I believe in Regina’s immense potential. My vision is to create a thriving economy where business and community well-being go hand in hand.” He added that fostering partnerships and meaningful collaboration will be central to his leadership.

Chamber Board Chair Kyle Addison expressed confidence in Tate’s ability to elevate the Chamber’s impact. “Mike’s energy and focus on relationships will greatly benefit our members in today’s evolving business environment,” Addison said in the release.

The Chamber also extends its gratitude to outgoing CEO Tony Playter, acknowledging his exceptional leadership and contributions. Playter’s dedication has left a lasting impact on the organization and the Regina business community.
