Traffic on Winnipeg between 12th Avenue and Victoria Avenue was blocked off for a short time Wednesday afternoon after a house fire.

Crews were called to the home on the 1900 block of Winnipeg Street just after 4 p.m after smoke could be seen coming from the home.

The fire has been extinguished.  No word on a cause or how many people if any were inside at the time.
