APAS president has guarded optimism for farming in 2020

The president of APAS has guarded optimism for farming in 2020.

Todd Lewis says 2019 was a tale of extreme weather, from drought to excessive moisture.

He is hoping for a better year in 2020.

He says its hard to be optimistic when many farmers have crop left to harvest in the spring.

But he is hoping for more stable weather patterns in the coming year, pointing out Saskatchewan is “next year” country.

Lewis also says trade issues were a big concern last year and he is hoping for improvements in international trade in 2020.
