The thunder may actually roll across Regina Friday night as a severe thunderstorm watch is out

It is not news those going to the Garth Brooks concert want to hear.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Regina and other areas of southeastern Saskatchewan including Moose Jaw, Estevan, Weyburn, Moosomin, Assiniboia  and Fort Qu’Appelle.

The weather office says thunderstorms are expected to develop late this afternoon across parts of southern Saskatchewan with some having the potential to become severe with hail to the size of quarters, damaging winds in excess of 90 km/h, and rainfall in excess of 50 mm.
