Saskatchewan to receive 15,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine by the end of March

Saskatchewan will be receiving a slight bump in COVID-19 vaccines before the end of March.

With Friday’s federal approval for the AstraZeneca vaccine, Saskatchewan will be receiving 15,000 doses by March 31st. That’s according to an emailed statement from the provincial government.

That comes from 500,000 doses expected to be received across the country from AstraZeneca.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is now planning on who will receive the vaccine, as it is approved for people 18 and over.

The AstraZeneca is a two-dose vaccine, so roughly 7,500 total people will be able to receive it.
