ACM nomination stuns Tenille Arts

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It was a Friday morning Weyburn’s Tenille Arts won’t forget for a long time.

The 26-year-old was at her Nashville home when she turned on the TV to watch the Academy of Country Music announce nominees for its April 18th award show.

When it came time to announce the five nominees for “New Female Artist of the Year”,  Arts was one of them

“I honestly couldn’t believe it.  I just sat there with my mouth open going is that really my name on the screen right now” Arts said. “Once I celebrated, I said I had to go back and watch again because I don’t believe this is real, but it was. It was an amazing way to start a Friday.”

It’s the latest accolade for the 26-year-old. She admits this is the biggest one so far.

“This is huge!” Arts proclaimed. “This is my first big recognition in the U-S and I am so, so excited to be at a point in my career where I’ve had two top 10’s in Canada and so close to having a top 10 song in the U-S. I just feel so lucky and am so grateful to be in a position where I could be nominated for something like this.

The ACM’s will be handed out in April.
