This is just the ground floor when it comes to hockey phenom Connor Bedard.
The 16 year old from Vancouver netted two goals in his final game of the year to set a record by being the youngest player to score 50 goals in the Western Hockey League. He potted #50, and #51 in the season finale, Sunday against Moose Jaw.
Now, the WHL has named Bedard, Player of the Week.
Bedard was originally selected by the Regina Pats with the first-overall pick in the 2020 WHL Draft.
In 77 career WHL regular season appearances, Bedard has amassed 128 points (63G-65A).
