Regina Police are now investigating their fifth homicide of the year.

On Friday afternoon, RPS confirmed the death of 36-year-old David Anderson on Thursday evening is now considered as a murder case after he was found injured on the 1400 block of 6th Avenue.

EMS transported Anderson to a local hospital, however he passed away a short time later.

Police say his family has been notified of his death. They have also provided family members with updates on the investigation.

The investigation is being led by the RPS major crimes unit with help from the coroner’s service.
