August 17th was just like any other day for Leona Noble of Mission, British Columbia, until 2007.
It was 12 years ago on August 17th that she last talked to her 15 year old daughter, Katelyn Noble, who was later reported missing from Radisson, where the teen had recently moved.
A Saskatchewan woman who continues to help in the search for Katelyn, later became a family friend, and she has organized a memorial walk in Radisson on Saturday, August 17th.
Paulette Haywood hopes it will keep Katelyn’s memory alive and renew the search, so Katelyn’s remains can be brought home to her mom.
A B.C. man that was known to Katelyn has been charged with first degree murder in connection to this RCMP investigation.
Eduard Baranec was arrested last fall in prison in B.C., where he is serving a life sentence for the murder of a mother of three he was paid to kill.
His next appearance by video in Saskatoon Provincial Court is August 22nd.
