Regina-based Viterra has reached an agreement to purchase the assets of Ilta Grain’s processing facility west of the Queen city at Belle Plaine.
Purchase price was not disclosed.
The purchase is subject to usual closing conditions, including court approval at a hearing set for Friday.
Ilta filed for creditor protection last month.
Viterra President Kyle Jeworski says the facility will be integrated into the companies grain asset network.
The facility can handle a wide range of pulse crops and other commodities.
Completed in the fall of 2017, it has a storage capacity of 22 thousand tons, along with a 135 railcar loop track.
