Regina man faces several charges after firearms and drugs were discovered in Core Neighbourhood house

Regina Police have arrested and charged a man in connection to a search warrant they issued on the 1900 block of Quebec Street, just off of 12th Avenue.

On Friday, patrol officers and members of the Street Gang Unit executed an authorized search, and were able to seize a sawed off firearm, ammunition, cash and a substantial amount of meth.

As a result, 37-year-old Jason Hofley of Regina faces the following charges:

  •  Careless Storage of a Firearm;
  • Unauthorized Possession Of Firearm;
  • Possession Of A Weapon For A Dangerous Purpose;
  • Possession of Ammunition Contrary To Prohibition Order;
  • Possession of Weapon Contrary To Prohibition Order;
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm (sawed off .303 rifle);
  • Possession Of A Weapon Obtained By Commission of Offence;
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance (methamphetamine) for the Purpose of Trafficking; and
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5,000.

Hofley made his first court appearance Monday.
