Ottawa announces support of over 2 million dollars for three farm youth groups

The federal government is providing over 2 million dollars for 3 farm youth organizations.

The Canadian 4-H Council will receive up to 1.8 million dollars over 2 years to develop new resources to empower youth through leadership programs.

4-H Canada is expected to reach more youth and advance awareness of Canadian agriculture, food knowledge and careers in the agri-food sector.

Canadian Young Farmers’ Forum receives up to 195 thousand dollars over 2 years to provide training and education to young farmers across Canada.

Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers group will receive up to 120 thousand dollars over 2 years to support the 7 regional recognition events, as well as the 3-day national conference.

Funding will also go to increase agriculture awareness and support positive growth of public trust in farming.
