Whether or not Matt Dunstone can get to Sunday’s playoffs at the Tim Hortons Brier in a Calgary bubble likely won’t be known until the end of play Saturday as it is very tight at the top.   After losing in the afternoon to Wild Card 3 skipped by Wayne Middaugh, Dunstone and his rink representing the Wadena Remax Curling Club knocked off Brendan Bottcher of Alberta in the evening draw to sit at 7-3

Kevin Koe’s Wild Card 2 rink and Howard are both 8-2 followed by Dunstone, Ontario’s John Epping, Bottcher and Team Canada’s Brad Gushue all sitting at 7-3.

Dunstone will meet Brad Jacobs of Northern Ontario and Jason Gunnlaugson of Manitoba to wrap up championship pool play.  Both of those rinks are 6-4 after Friday’s play.

The top 3 move into the playoffs with the top team going right to Sunday night’s final.
