Schools in Saskatchewan from Kindergarten to Grade 12 are now closed indefinitely.
With the efforts on to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, the announcement was made earlier this week to close schools down.
With the bell having rung for what could likely be the last time this school year, teachers and school division staff are now being told to stay home for a week effective Friday. The directive comes from the Ministry of Education’s response planning team.
The ministry says the week will be used to allow school divisions to develop and communicate additional plans both short and long-term for students, staff and families and it will also allow teachers to take care of themselves and the wellbeing of their families.
All will be paid in full.
