To everyone who has recently arrived back home after a two week vacation out of the country, welcome home. Things are a little different here since you left good old Saskatchewan. You won’t have a chance to get up and go visit parents, children, grandchildren, brothers, or sisters like you normally would after getting back home. Nope. It’s straight home, where you’ll stay for a couple of weeks.

I don’t think anyone will come home surprised by the situation. Even if you don’t follow social media while you’re on vacation, some people do, and they let you know all about what’s going on.

My wife always takes her phone with us when we go on vacation. I don’t. I don’t even take mine with me when I leave the house, unless I’m coming to work. It really wouldn’t matter if my wife took her phone or not because, no matter where we’re vacationing, people come up non-stop with news about home, be it the weather, the latest Rider news, or any other news that pertains to Saskatchewan.

You’d have to live in a cave deep in the heart of Mongolia to not know what’s happening in the world right now.

So welcome back. Self isolate and we’ll see you in a couple of weeks.

It’s a shame that your tan will be all gone by the time anyone sees you again!
