More details are being released on Friday morning’s police presence on Winnipeg Street.

RSP says early this morning officers were on the 1900 block for what began as an arrest on an outstanding warrant.
This became an emergency services call out when the accused man refused officer’s efforts to negotiate him out of the home.
Police say the outstanding warrants were for firearm and violent offences and there were others inside the home who may have been at risk.
Crisis negotiators and the Special Weapons and Tactics team were called at about 2:00am with the man and two women safely being taken into custody an hour later.
RPS says the man was arrested and will appear in court today, and the two women were released.
The investigation into the home and a seizure of a firearm is ongoing.
