A 31 year old local man is facing charges after carrying a BB gun with him on a City of Regina transit bus.

Police were notified just before midnight on Wednesday evening of the situation on the 1700 block of Dewdney Avenue East.

They were able to locate the suspect a short time later.

Anthony Cyr was charged with a couple of offences including Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

Cyr will make his first court appearance on Thursday morning.
