There are two teams remaining in the battle for the Ed Chynoweth Cup.

On Monday night, the Seattle Thunderbirds eliminated the Kamloops Blazers in the Western Conference finals in the Western Hockey League (WHL) playoffs with a 4-2 win.

Seattle will now meet the Winnipeg ICE in the league finals.

Game 1 of the series will begin on Friday night in Winnipeg. The ICE announced that they will be playing all of their home games during the league finals at the Canada Life Centre.

Kamloops season isn’t over as they will host the Memorial Cup that begins later this month.
