Pats make two selections in 2023 U.S. Priority Draft

 

The Western Hockey League (WHL) held their U.S. Priority Draft on Wednesday, with each team holding a pair of selections.

In the first round, the Regina Pats had the 12th overall selection and they picked forward Parker Trottier (5’11” 150lbs) from the Shattuck St. Mary’s 14U AAA.

Last season, the 15-year-old had 88 points (43G-45A) in 56 games played.

He is also the grandson of Hockey Hall of Famer Bryan Trottier who hails from Val Marie, Sask.

With their second round pick, the Pats took forward Blake Kiley-Ram (5’7″ 126 lbs) from the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes 14U AAA Team.

During the 2021-22 season with the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes 13U AAA club scored 58 points (16G-42A) in 46 games.
