Three towns chosen for next season’s Adam Herold Legacy Foundation program

Three communities have been chosen to host the Adam Herold Legacy Foundation’s hockey and leadership development program in 2022-2023.

Indian Head, Biggar and St. Walburg will have three days of hockey and leadership for Saskatchewan youth. Communities provide ice time, registration co-ordination and classroom facilities and support while the foundation provides the coaching, instruction and resources for two weekend sessions.

“We had a great selection of applicants again this year, so it’s gratifying to see so many communities interested in the work of the Foundation and what it brings to these rural areas,” said Russ Herold, Adam’s dad, in a media release. “I think a lot of that interest can be chalked up to the positive feedback we continue to receive from the communities where we have already hosted camps so we’re very pleased with that.”

Herold, a former member of the Regina Pat Canadians, was the youngest player killed in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash in 2018.
