Summer is not ready to quit just yet in Saskatchewan.
Thirteen record highs were broken across the province on Monday.
Environment Canada’s Brad Vrolijk said Regina came close, but was not one of those 13.
“Regina got to a very balmy high of 32.4 degrees on Monday, it wasn’t a record, the record is 33.3 which was set way back in 1908, so it was hot but not record hot,” said Vrolijk.
Moose Jaw managed to break a record set back in 1979 reaching a high of 33.6.
Records were also broken in Cypress Hills, Elbow, Hudson Bay, Indian Head, Last Mountain Lake, Melfort, Nipawin, Prince Albert, Waskesiu, Swift Current, Watrous and Wynyard.
Lucky lake tied its record high.
While not record breaking, Vrolijk says temperatures will be above seasonal for a couple more days in southern Saskatchewan before a low pressure system brings more seasonal temperatures and cloud cover.
