APAS launches farm survey over COVID-19 pandemic

APAS has launched a new farmer survey over the COVID-19 pandemic.

APAS President Todd Lewis says the survey will track how the farmers across the province are coping with the COVID-19 crisis.

He says the weekly survey will track farmer concerns about such issues as credit, seeding supplies, shipping delays and mental health

Lewis says the more data APAS can collect about what’s happening at the Saskatchewan farm gate, the more likely it will be for government support measures to actually meet farmers’ needs.

Lewis is asking farmers to respond each week in April to keep up on changing conditions on the farm.

He wants to provide a clear picture to government on what is needed for essential food production.
