RCMP say an 18-year-old man has been charged with first degree murder after officers found the body of his 69-year-old grandfather near a residence in Fillmore.

Late Tuesday afternoon police received a silent 9-1-1 call, officers responded to the call and located the suspect wondering a farmyard before the victims body was found.

The 18-year-old suspect, who has not been named has been charged with first degree murder and committing an indignity to a human body.

The suspect will make his first court appearance in Estevan on Thursday.

Fillmore is about 100 kilometers south east of Regina.
