A local man is facing robbery and assault charges following an incident on May 26.

Police reported to an incident in the back yard of a property in the 1700 block of Ottawa St. and found a 35 man who had sustained serious injuries.

An investigation by the Major Crimes Unit identified a suspect on Sunday and an arrest was made. It was also determined a robbery also occurred within this incident.

20 year old Cash Desnomie has been charged with robbery and aggravated assault.

He made his first court appearance on Monday.
