A farmer near Ituna says a vicious hail storm swept the area Tuesday night.

Ituna area farmer Adrienne Ivey says several crops were wiped out by the hailstorm, which ran on a narrow path of destruction.

She says the hail was accompanied by heavy rain.

Ivey says the hail was toonie-sized and very rough, looking like little weapons.

Ivey says the 4 inches of rain also caused some crop damage.

Ituna is about 135 kilometers northeast of Regina.
