A city employee in Humboldt is dead after a construction site accident.

City Manager Joe Day released a statement early Wednesday evening confirming the fatality.

The accident was said to have taken place around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the southwest area of Humboldt.

Occupational Health and Safety along with the RCMP are investigating.

No other details have been released at this time.
