The Battlefords North Stars collected their second win at the Centennial Cup as they picked up a 3-2win over the host Portage Terriers.

Steven Kesserling, Bradley Blake and Jake Southgate had goals for the North Stars.

Josh Kotai had 31 saves in the win.

Battlefords is now tied for top spot in their Pool with Portage but still haven’t clinched a spot in the playoff round.

Tonight the North Stars will finish the round robin portion of the tournament against the MJHL’s Steinbach Pistons.

The playoff round begins on Friday.
