Farm Credit Canada is advising farmers to watch five key trends in the coming year.

FCC chief economist J.P. Gervais says inflation and interest rates are among the important issues for farmers to watch closely in 2022.

He says interest rates could rise 1.25 percent this year.

Gervais says other issues for farmers to watch in 2022 include labour shortages, supply chain challenges, supply and demand imbalances and strength in meat demand.
