NDP’s Ryan Meili again calling for more unity across Saskatchewan during COVID-19 pandemic

The leader of the provincial NDP is once again calling for a united Saskatchewan front on the current impact COVID-19 is having in our province, and what the long-term effects it will have when normalcy returns to our lives.

Meili said it’s okay for Premier Scott Moe to ask for help from outside sources, which is what he and his party are offering.

Meili also said leaders from across the province, not just political leaders, need to be working together, adding there is no reason why the work of government right now should not include mayors, labour leaders, business leaders and others, claiming the more voices around the table the better it will be for Saskatchewan in the long-run.

Meili said on Tuesday that he has not discussed the matter personally with Premier Moe, but he has talked about it with Health Minister Jim Reiter, who seemed reluctant.
