The rising price of grain has prompted SaskWheat to release some stark numbers.
Market analyst Marlene Boersch says the world will need an additional 240 billion dollars to properly feed itself this year compared to last year.
Boersch expects demand will eventually be affected by the high prices and will weaken from record levels.
She hopes farmers are taking advantage of the current high prices.
Boersch says weather issues and the war in Ukraine remain issues in the short term for maintaining strong wheat prices.
