After coming back from 3-0 down and tying the game with 17 seconds left in regulation time, the Moose Jaw Warriors edged the Regina Pats 4-3 in a shootout on Monday.

Connor Bedard saw his point streak end at 12 games, but did score in the shootout.

After the game Pats Coach Dave Struch said he felt they deserved a better fate, adding they generated the chances they needed to win.

“In order to get those chances we’ve got to be doing a lot of things right,” Struch said. “The overall outlook is good because we’re getting those chances and doing some really good things, tonight we felt we did enough to win the game,” Struch said.

Parker Berge also scored his first career WHL goal for the Pats.

“Initially I wasn’t 100 percent sure, I saw the bounce off the boards and I just decided to throw it at the net, once the Moose Jaw player got out of the way I saw it hit the mesh, and once Drew (Englot) said he didn’t put it in, then I knew it was mine,” Berge said after the game.

The Pats (4-6-2-1) will be right back at it Tuesday night when they face the Swift Current Broncos (3-8-1-0).

Pre-game coverage starts at 7:35 p.m. then the puck drops shortly after 8:00 p.m. on 620 CKRM.
