The City of Regina is extending its relaxed parking enforcement for another two weeks due to extended COVID-19 restrictions being placed on the city and area.
In a news release, the city says drivers will not need to pay for parking for quick trips to the downtown core until at least April 26th.
However, the city also indicates that their parking enforcement officers will still be issuing tickets to vehicles parked at a meter for longer than two hours, advising residents who are downtown for longer than two hours to move their vehicle, park at an off-street location or use Regina Transit.
The city also says enforcement on vehicles remaining parked for longer than 24 hours on streets and roads remains in effect.
