On Saturday morning, just after midnight, Regina Police responded to a single vehicle collision on the Regina Bypass at 9th Avenue North.
Investigation into the accident shows a vehicle was exiting the bypass at a high rate of speed. The vehicle struck a guard rail and light standard causing significant damage to the vehicle and serious injury to the passenger.
EMS transported the 30-year-old passenger to hospital with serious injuries. The 30-year-old driver was arrested at the scene.
30-year-old Bret Young has been charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm. Young will make his first court appearance on August 26th.
