One person has been taken to hospital after a collision that closed part of Highway 17.

RCMP responded to the scene five miles south of Lloydminster at about 7:00am Wednesday.

Police say an eastbound half ton GMC collided with a southbound five ton commercial truck.

The driver of the GMC was taken to hospital and his condition is not known.

The other driver was not injured.

RCMP says officers have cleared the collision and the highway is back open.
