Grain is flowing again through the terminal at the northern Manitoba Port of Churchill.
The first grain train in almost four years was unloaded in late July at Churchill.
The CEO of the Arctic Gateway Consortium, Murad Al-Katib of Regina, said the first grain shipments left the port last month.
Al Katib is hoping to load a fourth grain ship before the end of the month and the close of the Churchill shipping season.
Severe flooding in the spring of 2017 knocked out rail service.
The port and rail link was sold to a consortium last year which includes Al Katib’s AGT Foods of Regina, Fairfax Financial Holdings and Northern Manitoba First Nations.
