Highway crash claims life of Foam Lake man

An 85-year-old man from Foam Lake died after a three-vehicle highway collision yesterday.

At about 10 a.m. yesterday, Biggar RCMP received a report of a serious collision on Highway 14 between Kinley and Perdue.

A westbound pickup truck collided with an eastbound semi, with the pickup also hitting a westbound SUV.

The 85-year-old driver of the pickup was declared deceased on the scene.

The driver of the SUV had injuries that were not considered life threatening. They were assessed and taken to hospital. The driver and sole occupant of the semi was assessed by EMS on the scene.

Biggar RCMP continues to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
